Now in its 20th year, Project Cool for Back-to-School provides 1,700 homeless youth with school supplies each fall. Through its volunteers, community support and in-kind donations, Project Cool is also able to help with shoes, clothing and hygiene kits to make students comfortable and confident on the first day of class. Project Cool gives students whose young lives have been disrupted by homelessness a jumpstart on their first day of school. Each child and teen receives a new backpack filled with age appropriate school supplies, along with a gift certificate for new shoes.
