Pierce County Mentoring Roundtable
This community coalition does not directly serve youth.
The Mentoring Roundtables exist to help mentoring programs and staff develop, expand, or increase the effectiveness of mentoring programs that serve diverse populations. The Roundtables strive for real results by ensuring all programs adhere to best practices and outcomes measurements. Additionally, the roundtables pool their resources and efforts to benefit their programs, the mentoring profession, mentors/tutors, and the youths served. A united front allows the roundtable to present compelling petitions to the business and governing communities to provide high quality programming and training to their constituencies.
Success Story
Rising to the Occasion
Chris was matched with his Big Brother, Will, in July 2010. Chris was 12 and Will was 20. Chris lives with his grandmother who reached out to Big Brothers Big Sisters because she thought a positive, male role model would be beneficial for Chris. Chris and Will meet almost every week and talk in between meetings. When they are together they are very active.
