Find Mentoring Organizations

At Treehouse Coaching-to-College we match volunteer Coaches with high school youth, providing a strong support network that encourages Treehouse youth to explore post-secondary options. Our Coaches are critical in helping kids navigate the red tape of financial aid and college applications, as well as being influential in helping identify career paths that are a good fit.

The Communities In Schools Mentoring Program is designed to help youth in the Federal Way School District understand the importance of completing their education and, with a mentor's guidance, stay in school and graduate.

Communities in Schools of Kent is a non-profit organization partnering with the Kent School District to coordinate mentoring programs at six local elementary schools and one local high school – the Kent Performance Learning Center. The Kent Performance Learning Center, located at the Kent Phoenix Academy, is a small, non-traditional high school designed for students not succeeding in the traditional high school setting and in need of a different learning environment.

At Communities in Schools of Lakewood our one-to-one matches meet for one hour per week on-site.

At Communities In Schools of Orting we run the Big Brothers Big Sisters Mentoring Program within the Orting School District. This year, we will provide mentoring services to more than 45 students in 1st - 8th grades at three sites.

Mentoring Our Students To Success is a program of Community In Schools of Peninsula, which we provide adult mentors to struggling students ages 6-17. Our program operates on site, after school, at schools located in the Peninsula school district, at least one hour weekly during the school year.

CISR mentors provide elementary and middle and High school children with encouragement and guidance during their academic career. Our mentors serve as a mature and experienced role model and friend who supports and encourage academic success. Mentors and Mentees meet for one hour each week during the school day for conversation, games, sports, study-skills, crafts, homework and most of all friendship.

Communities in Schools' mission is to champion the connection of needed community resources with schools to help young people seccessfully learn to stay in school and prepare for life. One of the primary ways we do this is connection of mentors with mentees in the schools.
