GRANT: Bank of America Mentoring Initiative V
Washington State Mentors is pleased to issue an invitation for proposals for
the 2010 Bank of America Mentoring Initiative.
Invitations were sent to direct-service mentoring programs serving youth from low to moderate income households
in these twelve counties: Asotin, Benton, Chelan, Franklin, King, Kitsap,Thurston, Pierce, Skagit,
Spokane, Whatcom and Yakima.
All applicants must be members of Washington State Mentors and adhere to the Elements of Effective Practice.
All applicants must have an annual operating budget of less than $500,000.

A Special Bond Between Sisters
Little Sister Shania and Big Sister Maureen have been matched since October 2009. Shania's grandmother enrolled Shania in the BBBS program because Shania always wanted a big sister. Maureen had been interested in mentoring because she had always liked kids and wanted to a create a special bond with a Little.
