FamilyWorks

At FamilyWorks we are a family resource center and food bank. Our free after school program for 1st - 5th graders serves families in our immediate neighborhood. We focus on a positive and fun learning environment for kids to build skills and foster self-esteem through tutoring and interactive programming. This program occurs twice a week: Monday is one-to-one tutoring/mentoring and Wednesday is a community day where we do group activities with fewer volunteers. Community members facilitate interesting workshops such as poetry fun, drama improve, book binding, origami, nature walks and science experiment day.
