John and Shawn

When John and Shawn met John was having difficulty in school. After one particularly bad day Shawn was the only one who could reach John and convince that everything was going to be okay. Shawn’s encouragement was authentic because he had a similar experience as a young man. They have been together for a year now and John’s teachers report that the changes are amazing. John’s relationship with Shawn has allowed him to feel safe and comfortable at school.

Nothing Will Hold These Two Back

Gayle and Marlene

Gayle and Marlene have been matched for three years. Gayle says, “Marlene helps me see me… especially the good stuff that I did not believe was inside before.” With Marlene’s help Gayle is setting goals, learning to bake and sew and has a new found confidence. Marlene has a new found confidence as well, accepting Gayle's challenge to climb an indoor 20 foot rock wall.
