Helping Hurting Students

Attendees will learn to understand depression and how it affects young people; how to recognize and know the warning signs of depression and suicide; how to develop healthy environments for yough people with communication skills; and, most importantly, to help students who are dealing depression or thoughts of suicide.  There will be interactive components of the seminar including some role-playing and Q&A time.

Helping Hurting Students

Washington State Mentors is excited to bring Unite 4 Life training for Helping Hurting Students Seminar to South King County.
This is a 3 hour seminar that will cover topics of youth depression and suicide.  Attendees will  understand how depression affects young people.  Also learn to recognize the warning signs of depression and possible suicidal thoughts.  Learn how to develop healthy environments for young people, with communication skills, and, most importantly, to help students who are dealing with depression or suicide.
