When Jasmine and Nicole were matched in 2005 Jasmine didn’t know what to think. She was hesitant to participate in a program for “little girls” but at their first troop meeting they bonded over music, movies and laughter. In coming months the conversation topics became more sophisticated and the relationship continued to grow. They started meeting outside their regular troop meetings. In 2007 Jasmine was separated from her sister. It was an enormous blow to Jasmine.
