WSM President Jim Marsh, One of Many NBA Players Dedicated to Mentoring
Sports Illustrated refers to Seattle as, “The Emerald City produces some of the nation’s best basketball players, a proud fraternity whose alumni in the NBA are dedicated to mentoring younger talents through high school and college.”
WSM President, Jim Marsh, is well known in the Emerald City especially among the basketball community and has dedicated his life to helping young people succeed. The latest issue highlights how Marsh and others in the community are committed to giving back.

Rising to the Occasion
Chris was matched with his Big Brother, Will, in July 2010. Chris was 12 and Will was 20. Chris lives with his grandmother who reached out to Big Brothers Big Sisters because she thought a positive, male role model would be beneficial for Chris. Chris and Will meet almost every week and talk in between meetings. When they are together they are very active.
