We are pleased to announce a new web-based mentor training course from mentoring experts Jean Rhodes and Janis Kupersmidt, called Mentoring Foundations. This course is focused on building the foundation for developing a mentoring relationship with children. 

WSM Board Member, James Donaldson recently received an NBA Legends of Basketball Award for his work in the athletic and business communities.  James' new book Standing Above the Crowd is available now.

Join MENTOR and MetLife for an upcoming webinar on MENTOR’s newly revised Elements of Effective Practice for Mentoring, third edition.

This webinar is geared toward mentoring programs and will provide an overview of the third edition of the Elements, highlighting research and studies that strengthen the benchmarks and suggested enhancements.

Last summer Youth Eastside Services (YES) started the work to develop a strategic plan to increase male mentor recruitment. So many mentoring programs strive to recruit more male mentors to befriend the large number of boys waiting for a mentor.

WSM President, Jim Marsh, is well known in the Emerald City especially among the basketball community and has dedicated his life to helping young people succeed. The latest issue highlights how Marsh and others in the community are committed to giving back.
