Cultural Competence and The Impact of Stereotypes
Participants will learn to develop their cultural competence through interactive exercises, video and lecture. Participants will examine the effects of stereotypes on target groups and how stereotyping impacts cross cultural relationships. Questions like: how are we perceived by others; what messages do we hear about who we are; how are we portrayed by others; and how this effects our relationships are all explored.

Dr.Caprice D. Hollins has over 15 years experience teaching and facilitating conversations on race relations. She received her B.A.in psychology from Seattle University and a M.A.and Psy.D.in Clinical Psychology with emphasis in Multicultural and Community Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology - LA. She started Cross Cultural Connection, LLC, providing culturally relevant professional development and consulting services to organizations seeking to improve their ability to effectively engage all cultures.
