100 Black Men of Greater Seattle Incorporated
Through "Mentoring the 100 Way" training program, we ensure our volunteer members become certified mentors, advocates and role models for their youth. We partner with various local agnecies to fill the "Mentor Gap" first. Education: Our goal is to support the "100"operates the Wimberley Initiative. Partner with local schools to engage in the S.T.E.P. (Students Tutorial Enrichment Program). Other current initiatives will include SAT/ACT preparatory classes and technology courses that assist the community as we strive to address the digital divide. Economic Development: Conduct the "Dollars and $ense" program for the local high school students. Plus leverage the "100" credit education, investment club strategies and real estate planning seminars to members. Health & Wellness: We "100" plan to team up with other non profit organizations as well as law enforcement agencies to provide anti-violence workshops and promote preventative health strategies. We will leverage the "Young Men Behaving Responsibly" program. Plus we will partner with local health agencies to promote health screenings and African-American prevalent disease education are available for adults.
